This is my drive down south from my home in Mission, KS. I stopped along the way to see some high school friends in Atlanta and Macon, GA. Nothing is better than catching up with my girls Allison and Stephanie! They are doing wonderful and look fantastic. I finally made it to mom's house in Port Charlotte, FL. I took her to see Straight No Chaser with complimentary tickets from my friend Jerome. (Thanks, Rome) As always, it was a great show and mom enjoyed a night out on the town of Naples. We relaxed at her place for a little less than a week. We then packed up and drove north on A-1 highway along the east coast of Florida. We took our time enjoying the beautiful houses and beaches. I was relieved that Jerome was on break when we made it to WPB- saw his new home and listened to some fun live music. We met up with my mom's cousin Enrique for lunch one day as well. We stopped in St. Augustine, and Cape Canaveral, and Daytona Beach before making it to my brother's house in Augusta, GA. We spent several days with Mark, Linda, and three fun nephews! We then drove to my cousin, Leslie's house in TN before making it to mom's house in Branson West, MO. It was a great way to relax and spend time with mom before embarking on my big trip in July.
