So we did it! We looked at those iconic beauties of France!

In the last few days we've seen Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triumphe, Musee Pompidou, The Siene and The Lourve, Palais Royal. It was an incredible experience standing with these postcard perfect structures.

Notre Dame - inside was so surreal and beautiful. (as per other post).

Eiffel Tower - Postcards do it justice! It was amazing to see how it stood out from the rest of the city. So tall and just a whole heap of metal plonked together to create a masterpiece. Lines cueing up was ridiculous. TIP! We took the locals tip and did not climb it! We were told the Arc de Triumphe was better to climb up as the view was more worthwhile.

Arc de Triumphe - This was worth the climb. This view meant we were able to see the Eiffel Tower. There was even some sort of ceremony benath the arc, which we could watch from the inside of the arc! There is a camera under the arch and a screen at the top inside the arc.

The Lourve - Ok. We're not art people, so this bore us a little. We thought, "ok, lets do this section and work our way around". To our surprise, that section had 3 levels............. So! Changed our game plan and got ourselves to the Mona Lisa and called it a day. Amazing building though! Very easily to get lost inside. Haha.

Palais Royal Gardens - A locals secret! Hidden away is this beautiful garden that all the locals come to smoke and walk through. This tranquil and lush garden was a lovely hide way and break from all the walking we did. If you come to Paris, find this place!

Tomorrow we're off to Nice (south France) to try some canyoning and via ferratas! And Ash is going to experience driving on the wrong side of the road :)
