Here we are! 15 members if the Marian Community have finally managed to make the 6705.69Km distance to Vietnam. Today was a big day of travelling and exploring the city. Via Bangkok we flew through the night from Melbourne and arrived at 9.30am. Xuyen our tour guide met us at the airport with an infectious laugh and a big caring smile. For the next 13 days Xuyen will show us Vietnam starting in the South and working our way to the North. We had an afternoon of exploring the city. We saw wonderful French inspired cathedrals and buildings. The war museum reminded all of us the severity and tragedy of the Vietnam war. We all enjoyed a yummy dinner at 'No 19' restaurant and a little shopping before heading back for an early night. Tomorrow we head to the Mekong Delta to begin our 4 day building project.
