Woke up bright and early this morning to catch our flight to Vegas. Still VERY under the weather today as this (swine) flu is still keeping strong. Met up with Dave and Sarah and Chris and Kerry at the airport. We sat up in First class while the pilgrims sat in the cattle section in the back. Got in to Vegas and went and checked in to our hotel (Treasure Island, Yar) and they checked in to the grown up hotel at the Encore. After some drinks around the pool in the afternoon, i was feeling like I may pass out and went for a nap. That evening the tables took hold and we barely made an organised dinner while running back and forth to the tables. Early evening on Vegas standards after such a long day.
Total Vegas winnings to date: -$10

Today we got up and enjoyed the HOT weather. About 36 degrees so after a look around a few Casinos we went back to the Encore to hang around the Europena pool and look at all the rich 'kept women'. Feeling a little better today, but after a few hours in the sun and beers needed another 'refresher' in the afternoon. Showed up for dinner wearing my new shirt that i made featuring a picture of Davey boy, that went over with a mix of reviews from disgusted by what they saw to complete adoration from Dave himself. Went out for dinner that night at a little french restaurant in the Venetian. Was a great night and Nats Mussels were the best that she has ever had, and there was about 50 of them. The steak frites was good and lots of it. After dinner we jumped in a couple of cabs and headed to 'the Golden Nugget' and a little 'old Vegas' action. Not quite what we expected but an experience nonetheless.
Jumped in a big limo for the trip back to the Wynn and then called her an evening.
Total Vegas winnings to date: -$7 (Nat wanted to keep a chip from the Nugget and we were up a whole $2!)

Daves 40th. Nat and I decided to walk the strip all the way to the famous Welcome to Vegas sign. Such a long walk especially in 100 degree weather. Stopped along the way at many many casinos. Saw and took some great photos of the Lions at the MGM Grand. It took about 3 hours to make it down to the sign and we got a little sun doing so, but would have been dissappointed if we never did it. That afternoon we wnet back to meet everyone at the pool at the Encore to have a few drinks, which were flowing fast and beofre long decided that we should go get ready for dinner or we would miss it.
We went to Koi at Planet Hollywood and had mixed reviews. The apps were fantastic but he mains and service had a lot of improvement needed, then for them to add an automatic 20% grat left us a little sour, but who are we kidding, we are here to gamble.
We jumped in another limo and headed to the Hard Rock.
After paying for one drink we cozied up to a craps table and planted roots. 2 of our dealers really made the night fun, Ron and Nerissa (from Australia!) took good care of us.
Then 'Heidi' (as Kerry dubbed him due to his two braids, and we thought we may get shot for cause he was pretty intimidating) started calling my 'lil' Joe from kokomo' when i got on a hot run. Four hours later we decided that we should call 'er a night as it was almost 4am and we were up a bit. Overall it was a fantastic night and Dave sure enjoyed his 40th.
Total Vegas winnings to date: $350 - $400 (little vague on the evening but had a bunch of Benjamins in the morning)
