Rosie takes over the world!! (solo styly)
Righty, well, my memory may be a bit hazy because this was a week ago now and im backtracking through my tour to update. Yeh the Cameron Highlands, well theyre very high, durr. I was sat next to the chattiest guy ever on the way up and he wa telling me his life story bless him. The hotel thing was OK, nothing like where we were staying in India, whcih is to be expected. my room was so crap though one bunkbed and no windows it was like a prison cell with 3 doors, 2 to each balcony, so i asked Sim Sim (tour leader) if i could change and i swapped with Tom (trainee Tour leader) and i got a room with a double bed and a single bed all for greedy little me. The Cameron Highlands are pretty special, theres laods to do and see and its a very cute town in the middle, all veyr small. It was a British settlement originally wher they came to escape the heat of the city in the times of war etc. OK, in the evenings we stayed in and watched videos and in the day time we visited a tea plantaion, went jungle trekking (which my mate Rosie loved bless her) and then we went to a butterfly farm, it was awesome i held a poisionous scorpion, i shat myself though!! also held some other weird creatures it was so cool, i wil sho u the pics eventually all. The best bit for me thoughw as cos on the 2nd ngiht we wnt out for a meal, its called a steamboat and in the middle of ur little table u have a bit metal boiling bortherl type thing with broth in it (half spicey flavour, half chicken) and they giv you LOADS of raw foor and u thro it all in and cook it, it was so fun, we had a right laugh cooking the prawns espesially cos we had to gut them ourselves etc. i tried jelly fish, it is disgusting never never again. i had a bad headache caused by stress thourhg the highlands so that was a bit annoying but i spoke to me cousin Laura and she made me feel laods better and now its gone, yipee (touch wood) x
