Rosie & Andy's Honeymoon Route 66
As it was now dark we moved on from the park to check into our stay for the night (absolutely incredible sunset for the last part of our drive!), and then found another local diner to have tea at (another burger for Rosie and grilled salmon for me). Was so good I think we'll head there for breakfast too!! As we're right next to the railway, the whole hotel shakes every time a train goes by! Time for bed. Pictured for this entry is a lump of the petrified wood.

Rosie We were very lucky with the fires. If we'd been a few days earlier, we would've been in trouble
