Just been playing around with clara in the pool trying to get the perfect picture of us jumpin in. It took us about 20 attempts, but the end picture is perfect.. who would have thought we are nearly 22 and 23!
We are now in Chaing Mai its brilliant! We have done lots already, but we are yet to experience the night bazar! We are staying at a really good hotel called the Chiang Mai Thai House. The rooms are clean and the showers are hot, breakfast is a must! And there is a POOL!!! We are only a 10 minute walk away from the city!
So yesterday we went to an adventure park with zip lines called Flight of the Gibbon. It was amazing, I was a bit worried about doing it seeing Thailands track record for health and safety, but i felt really safe. Even though the cheeky guy keep shouting and screaming saying NOOO when i jumped off the edge (of course i was fine). I found the upside of being the smallest of the group as they would bouce the zip line up ad down and I would go flying! Honestly i am still in one piece. After the fun and games we were served a delicious meal, we had about 4 bowls of all kinds of thai food, first was a chicken soup (hot water that tasted like water, it was delicious though!). The main was a beautiful thai curry and rice and a side of crunchy vegtables! Flight of the Gibbon was a great day out!
The day before we went to Tiger Kingdom, the excitement of holding baby tigers was amazing! However, we have noticed that the animals that we visit here are obviously drugged. It was the same when we went to a crocodile show the crocodiles were just lip and were drgged around by the people. Its a real shame and we feel guilty that we shouldn't be visting these places s we are contributing to it. At tiger kindom we saw these huge tigers in small cages, obviously agrovated by the small spaces. When visting we got to go and be in contact with the smallest and the biggest tigers. The baby ones were so cute and adorable but in the back of your mind you know they lives arent so happy as they have been seperated by their families. When we went in the pen with the large cats they were just laying on the ground supposidly 'chilled out and used to tourist.' It was a good trip and got some great up close pictures that we would never be able to get. But it is sad as we know they are not treated well.
Tomorrow we are getting a bus back to Bangkok for the last days in Thailand :(, BUT luckily the fun isn't over Australia next and even more fun is after that too! I'm sure I'll keep you all up to date.
LOVE TO ENGLAND
