Hello all - I have managed to push Ian away from the computer for 5 minutes to allow me acess to "our" blog.

So only been a few days, we left Airlie Beach on the overnight bus for Herevy Bay - and arrived 13 hours later - wasn't too bad actually just achey necks, I forced Ian to embrace the "hostel" way of life and we checked into the YHA - double en suite obvioulsy (breaking him in slowly) - he struggled to find the mini bar/air con and had to be sedated with 3 jugs of beer just to deal with the fact that there was a slight hole in the netting where a giant mozzy could get in and attack him.

We biked around the bay and saw pelicans/dolphin/fruit bats and parrots which was pretty cool, and tpday we took a tour out to see the whales, it is the very end of the season and we were lucky to see any - we saw 3 pods (mainly mums with babies) which was amazing - MASSIVE - check out the video

Tonight we showed the ozzys the meaning of the words "all you can eat" at the hostel $5 bbq - planning a lazy day tomorrow before heading to Noosa on Sunday
