Finally we are in CapeTown, 3 days flying and connections we arrived exhausted early in the morning. Our hotel was gracious enough to let us book in early so could freshen up, we then decided to take a township tour so that we would stay awake and get adjusted to the time difference. We are now in our final days of preperation, passports are back and all necessary visas are in place. A little more about the VW, I bought it on ebay for this trip, it was claimed to be completely restored, well it still needed a lot of work. It now has a new motor thanks to Gem VW, all new steering and suspension, "air conditioning" and drives like an old VW.
