To-day we arrived in Cannes France, and took a tour of Nice. After a 1 hour bus ride we arrived in Nice on the French Riviera and then transferred to an open air tour tram, which took us to the ruins of Savoyard Castle high up on the mountain, with a tremendous view of the city and the Bay of Angels, and Elton John's Villa. The color of the Mediterranean is spectacular from this vantage point. We then came down to the "Promenade des Anglais" where all the famous hotels and casinos are situated, along with the old harbor, which overlooks the Bay of Angels. Nice is the fifth largest city in France, but has only been French since 1860. We then checked out a very large "antique flea market" before once again getting in the bus and returning to Cannes, and our tender ride back to the ship.
