Wow, A hectic bit of travelling to get here. Left Ko Samui at 11:30am, 4 hour boat journey followed by 12 hour coach. Got to Bangkok at 5am and sat around until 11am for our flight to Singapore. Hi, In Ko Samui. Most commercialised of the islands but the beach it is still lovely and the water is very clear with semi-decent wave action (Surfer speak). However the weather has gone a bit rainy and is staying so for next few days according to the web so plans to delay our pre-booked flight out of Thailand have been shelved so we are off up to Bangkok tomorrow to catch connection to Singapore. Currnetly on the island of Ko Pha-Ngan. Been to Ko Tao already which is the least developed of the local islands. Quiet beaches and lovely sea. Kayaking and swimming during the day and in the evening beach bars with fire jugglers. Massively impressive. Also went to a ladyboy show on the second night which was hilarious. Hired mopeds yesterday to go halfway round Ko Pha-Ngan. There are some ridiculously steep roads so it is quite dangerous. Have seen loads of tour...

Scenic train journey from Bangkok to Hue Hin which was a very odd place. A nice resort with posh hotels and loads of families and middle aged couples. However when you go out in the evening all the bars are full of hookers and it is not in the least bit discreet. Not sure what the kids make of the entertainment (or the wives)! Cambodia now done and In Bangkok again. Cambodia was not as scary as I thought it would be and parts of Siem Reap were really posh, mainly due to the tourist industry for Angkor Wat. Angkor was amazing. Very interesting but never seen so many Japanese people. More than in Tokyo!
