Walking the city of Venice. There are really beautiful clothes shops here, you girls would love it.

Walked for about 2 - 3 hours, so many nice shops & restaurants. Got some good cheap things. My bag real Leather €18 = $25 aust , same bag in Aust $120. 6 way international power connector €9 Aust $49, these Italian people are real nice & honest good to shop with them.

Wine is very expensive here 1 bottle average - white €17.Another perfect sunny day about 24c.

We found a G/F restaurant for the Cat for tonight. Will return for dinner.

We got lost this morning, all alleys look the same, lucky I took a bearing on my phone compass, I had 350deg when leaving, after about 10 corners, what's up! Looked at the compass, we were still heading 350 should have been 175, about turn and we found our way. Gold these iPhone's!

Dinner time - we found this restaurtant, couldn't find the one we saw earlier. Lost again! Hope it is Italian G.F.

For a start a bit scary, no one else here & and all the waiters are pissed. I ask for the wine list & he just bought a bottle of white over, really nice. Having lamb, of course. These people don't speak a word of English, but we all seem to get by. Lovely people, now the restaurant is full, half an hour later.

Real nice meal (I'd like to show him how to carve up lamb, I think he used a cleaver, wack, wack . The lamb must have been only 3 month old, our's are about 10 months old.

I think we will get another bottle of wine. I asked him for another bottle, he said 'you don't need a bottle, here's a glass each, no worries'.

The bill came on a piece of paper 6" x 6" nothing else, 70 euros all included. How great are these Italians!

Boy I think we're pissed.

We got an extra bottle of wine on the way home. Eileen just can't handle the piss, poor baby but she will remember tonight and where we are.

So many cities in such a short time.

Poor cat is chunking in the toilet, can't handle the piss, not piss fit. Never mind I'll finish this bottle off, might go get some more!

I'm watching the gondola people ferrying there passengers around. The view from our window is really good, of the gondolas on the canal.

This town has gone to sleep now 10.30pm all is quite, there are no sounds, everyone in bed, no one around.

The village is on air, as the poet said. What a unique place.

Got Cat off to sleep now, nice night. She's such a piss head, can't handle it . That's my girl xx

P.S. The second bottle of wine was €15, I had €10 , I offered €10, he excepted €11, (I found a £1 coin change). In Cairo that would be ok but here its like home.

I have to say, it's 11 pm, there is no sound outside at all, dead quite, one has to be here to believe it . I really mean it, not a sound. I have taken a movie to prove it.
