Today was a very emotional, yet eye opener day! I spent the day learning all about Pol Pot and the horrendous things that happened here in 1975. I started by visiting the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum. Iv learnt so much about the history and what happened here, and somewhere in the region of 2 million innocent people lost there lives all over Cambodia. i managed to read almost everything about it but some was just too much to take in. I then went to the Killing Fields, about half an hour drive away. I had an audio tour around and cannot explain how I felt and what I heard. It's safe to say that today has really opened my eyes and made me realise how lucky I am. I was also so fortunate to meet two of the survivors and had a chat with them, and brought both their books.
