Day 2,

Today started off with bacon & poached eggs on a toasted muffin, a good way to start a day that was filled with fresh sea air, a lovely stroll along the beach, fish and chips, a 320 odd metre mountain climb, the biggest pot of mussels i have ever eaten and an 11 hour sleep!!!

We took a walk through Edinburgh along the canel towards Jonny's girlfriends work who very kindly lent us her car (massive thanks to you Emma xx) for a couple of days so we're able to drive out of Edinburgh and Jonny can show me some beautiful places outside of Edinburgh......

We took a drive to North Berwick where I discovered a beautiful coastline, a completely empty beach to walk along and eat some of the best fish and chips I have ever tasted, well, when you're at the beach you have to eat fish and chips dont you? :)

After spending a few hours there we ventured back to Edinburgh to climb the beast of a mountain called Arthurs Seat. Having trekked up 320 something metres to the top, I saw the most amazing views of Edinburgh. If you ever visit this city then this is a must do activity, trust me, the views are definitely worth the steep trek!!!

Afterwards we went to a bar called Teuchters Landing to indulge in Oysters and Mussels, well, Jonny had the Oysters, i had the mussels. I'm not really a fan of Oysters but i will eat anything once. The verdict, not bad i guess (the little tabsaco kick definitely helped). The mussels however were divine, the maraniere sauce was the best i have ever tasted. One good thing (i think) was Jonny knowing the owner of the bar so he ensured there was a plethora (his words!!) of mussels and he wasnt wrong!!! now i like to be able to put a whole pot of mussels away but this portion took it to another level!! there was no way i could eat 'another wafer thin mint' afterwards because yup, I woud've burst if i had eaten one lol :)

After walking along beaches,eating fish and chips, walking up 320 odd metres and eating a plethora of mussels there was only one thing to do........SLEEP!! and i did, for 11 hours. BLISS :)
