A quiet day - just with family wandering around the old town. Made porridge - then walked over to see Mum and Dads old friend , Pranas Nagys. Sunday the 9th- Rita came and met us with a taxi to take us to Acropolis. Massive shopping centre reminiscent of Macquarie Fields - complete with ice skating rink in the middle of it. We have arrived in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania. As we broke through the cloud cover I saw a countryside of forests and castles. We landed - got our bags, walked through the door and we were there. Lots of travelling... Yesterday we got up and visited the Convent of Wienhausen - built in 1233 - an incredibly beautiful - part gothic, part baroque, part Romanesque convent - very spartan, and extremely ornate in parts.
