Lots of travelling...
Yesterday we got up and visited the Convent of Wienhausen - built in 1233 - an incredibly beautiful - part gothic, part baroque, part Romanesque convent - very spartan, and extremely ornate in parts.
Then klaus, erna & anja drove us to Frankfurt. 5 hours - great viewing of the landscape - so many windmills all over.
Klaus, Erna & Anja got us to Frankfurt airport. They have been such wonderful hosts. Our short time in Germany has been fantastic because of the way they looked after us.
Had a great sleep at the hotel near Frankfurt - then off to the airport at 6:40am. Flight to Copenhagen- we had a couple of hours there to eat lunch (Very healthy) - the next flight to Vilnius. So far, each plane we have gotten on is smaller than the one before. This one was long and thin, only 2 seats, aisle, 2 seats. It got buffetted around a bit -especially during a very rapid descent . And Kaylene would be pleased, I no longer need grog to get through the flight.
So - here we are in Vilnius- next post for impressions of this amazing city - the centerpiece of our pilgrimage.
