We have arrived in Vilnius, capital of Lithuania. As we broke through the cloud cover I saw a countryside of forests and castles. We landed - got our bags, walked through the door and we were there. No customs, no checks. And then we saw a crowd of people amongst the marble floor and columns of the arrival area. This was the entourage who had come to meet us. Lots of travelling... Yesterday we got up and visited the Convent of Wienhausen - built in 1233 - an incredibly beautiful - part gothic, part baroque, part Romanesque convent - very spartan, and extremely ornate in parts. Then klaus, erna & anja drove us to Frankfurt. 5 hours - great viewing of the landscape - so many windmills all over. Klaus, Erna & Anja got us to Frankfurt airport.
