hi all. so since we last blogged, we spent 8 ngiths in Salta and then 2 in Rosario.
Firstly, Salta! This place was cool place to hang out, and use a base. Though we stayed 8 nights, we didnt need that long, it was just a case of relaxing in some accomodation that we liked. Salta was our last place with Chris too, before he headed into Chile, and then we headed east to Rosario. While we were in Salta, as well as chilling out, we did a really good horse trek with possibly the best asado in the whole of argentina in my opinion. Seriously, i ate like 10 slabs of beef and some sausage, which came to over 1.5kgs of meat. I was bloated and ate too much, but never regretted a moment, especially when your washing it down with a nice cold argentinian beer. We also went on the cable car to the top of a hill for a view of the city, went on a bus for 2 hours to try find a bungee spot (though it turned out to be a little further and we ran out of time for the day), we went to San Lorenzo for a nice walk through the forest, and then on our last full day we went to the Salinas Grandes. The Salinas Grandes are a salt flat in north west argentina, and were amazing, though I dont think they can be compared to Uyuni in Bolivia (though we never visited them), as they are the world´s biggest, and appear like an endless sea of perfect white. Saw some nice places along the way with this last trip, though there was a bit too much driving in a minibus for our liking.
Next stop Rosario, after a nice long overnight bus ride. This destination was a bit pointless to be honest, as there isn´t much here, the weather wasn´t too great, and the hostel was crap. oh well, bus to Puerto iguazu to see the falls is it. Following this its time for short trip in a brazil.
peace and hippy love
