We arrived in Lima around 10 pm and taxi´d it to Loki Hostel in Miraflores. The taxi driver was a bit crazy and seemed to be a bit jittery as if he was on something! He also drove like a madman but we have to say that we´re yet to come across a sane taxi driver in South America! They all think they´re ex racecar drivers! We absolutely loved Ecuador! Its such a beautiful place, especially Baños. We managed to tick off a few things on our list of things to do before we're 30 (...well, I´ve had to change mine to "before I die"!) Buenos Aires was very different to Brazil and Rio de Janeiro and we loved it! We stayed in a hostel called America Del Sur for a few nights which was very clean but noisy at night and for 6 nights we stayed at the new Milhouse Hostel, which was again very nice but could be noisy until the early hours. So after the carnival we were on a semi-nice bus to Argentina which would take us around 20 hours. It was long but not too painful apart from the breakfast that was pretty much sugar with sugar and a side of sugar! Very sweet nasty coffee, some chocolate biscuits and some caramel! After being dropped off at Hotel Vila Rica by the fast-track minibus we were told that they had had a boiler leak so we were being moved to another hotel in a better area.
