hi there...we made it to fontana dam,and taking a zero day today,we will hit the trail tomorrow(sunday)...then on to the great smoky national park,it should take us about 5-7 days depending on blow downs and snow at upper levels Rob wanted to let a few people know he lost his address book with numbers,so we are trying to track it down....heard a few hikers found it,maybe we will catch them This trip is one of the most incredible things we have ever experienced....

EXTRA,EXTRA ...READ ALL ABOUT IT......TRINKETS BACK ON THE TRAIL WE LEFT THE BLUEBERRY PATCH ON SUNDAY AND ARRIVED IN FRANKLIN NORTH CAROLINA ON WEDNESDAY,THE KNEE IS HOLDING UP PRETTY GOOD,WE DID OVER 40 MILES IN FOUR DAYS...SO FAR SO GOOD....THANKS SO MUCH FOR ALL THE PRAYS AND SUPPORT WE CLIMBED STANDING INDIAN MOUNTAIN SUMMIT AND IT WAS BEAUTIFUL....CAMPED ON THE SNOW...YIPPPEEEE A COOL GUY PICKED US UP AS WE HITCH HIKED TO FRANKLIN...DONT MY MOM...LOL ...

Hi there....just a quick update.We started our hike on saturday,no problems until the trail became a sheet of ice,I (Trinket ) slipped on the ice and sprained my knee,so i caught a ride 47 miles north to a town called Hiawassee,I will rest my knee untill my brother catches up to me at the Bluberry Patch Hostel....I heard about the Magic that happens on the trail,its true the magic is for real,hikers are so friendly,they were giving me knee wraps,icey hot patches,...

Someone once told me " Do what you can while your able...find what it is you seek!"....those words are starting to ring true Our parents are taking us to Amicalola state park saturady the 6th,where we will register as thru-hikers,then later in the afternoon they will drive us to the southern most terminus of the Appalachian Trail (springer mountain),my brother and I will smile and wave,as we start our journey.... Hi there...just a quick update! Bill arrived safely in Myrtle Beach,we have been spending alot of time at Sam's wholesale/Walmart buying supplies for our mail drops....tuna,salmon,snickers,rice,mac and cheese,etc,etc!!!!
