English Update 25-28
Onwards to St.Louis! Once again we decided to try the eastern suburbs first and what do you know? Half crumbled buildings, no people in sight and Rottweiler dogs on the streets. We quickly decided to try our luck in downtown St.Louis. There we found a hotel which cost the same as the infamous DeSoto but offered free hot breakfast and 3 FREE DRINKS upon check-in! Sold! After hanging out in the hotel pool we headed downtown to listen to some Jazz. Great food, great music, great beer.
The next day was once again reserved for sightseeing: The Gateway arch is really something to see and apparently designed by a Finn no less. We headed over to Forest Park - a huge greenland with free museums and one of the biggest Zoos in USA. And you could drive through the whole area with a car. Awesome. We had to leave the zoo early in order to catch that night's Baseball game: St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers. The anticipation was high. The game sucked ass. Listening to the conversations around us, we witnessed one of the worst games in Cardinals' history. Yippee.
At this point our battleplan was to drive trough Midwest pretty fast in order to spend more time in California. We stopped in Oklahoma City and Amarillo, trying to drive about 500 miles per day. The scenery has quickly started to change to what you would see in typical western movies. No buffalos though, wonder why? Next stop: Grand Canyon, Las Vegas and hopefully a rodeo. Sore behinds and numb legs ahead.
