Arrived in Brisbane...what a relief! A city with normal people! Babers birthday turned out to be great....went to the most amazing club called Family, and had probably the best clubbing night so far. We stayed in Bunk, which was more like a hotel for backpackers than a hostel. Air con, satelite, a beer garden and club....i know they all sound pretty normal, but def luxuries for us at this point. Brisbane has to be the most surreal place so far. we met so many random people who invited us back to thier homes. Fist there was Sasha (the crazy russion with her gay uncle, grandmother and father) and her now ex, Brook. We went over to her house where Baber cooked dinner and we then drank her uncle's own brewed vodka...lethal! Met some of her friends, who wereall really cool. Then there was this weird couple Nik and Taly....we spent the night drinking, and then went back to theirs and then a disrailed train in the middle of a childrens school yard. Lastly Baber met this mad teacher, Angela, on a street corner, as you do. Only Baber can pick up girls on street corners who turn out not to be hookers. We went to her house for an Irish dinner party...full of artsy type of people...a bit dull but still fun. Overall Brisbane was great, especially due to Emma and janine. They stayed with us in our hostel, complained with us, moved to an apartment for free with us and generally drank with us. St patricks day was also wicked...got very drunk. Amazing place, with the most friendly people. Def best place so far. Loved it!
