ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh, cant remember where my last blog finished and i dont have my travel diary with me but i've had requests for a blog update (honestly, I have!) so i shall try my best.
Melbourne? yeah think thats where i left off. I did the culture thing and went to the museums and art galleries. This was mainly because the weather was so crap, which i'm sure you'll all be delighted to hear. It rained most of the days i was in melbourne. Had a night out with the girls in downtown melbourne which was cool and had a lot of really good meals with Laura.
I rented a car with Jen, Katie and the Charlottes and we headed down the Great Ocean Road. The 3 main natural sights in Oz are the Rock, the Road and the Reef. The rock being Uluru, the reef is obvious and the road is the great ocean road. It runs west from Geelong for a couple of hundred kms and is just really scenic. This is where the 12 apostles are. The apostles are huge rock formations in the sea. We childishly indulged in a game of apostle spotting which made us laugh hysterically for a long, long time and the photos are really funny (or maybe you just had to be there!) We had the car for 2 days and saw a lot:Bells Beach-one of the worlds best surf beaches (and its in Point Break at the end..."He's not coming back...."), Lorne, Anglesea, Apollo Bay-where we stayed for the night and had a really good meal, Lavers Hill and the 12 apostles. It was great driving again and the car i'd hired was rapid, so much fun! Really glad i had company too cos the girls kept me laughing all the time.
The road trip pretty much ended my time in Melbourne as i dropped off the hire car at the airport and caught a plane to have a reunion with Sydney.
