There is I motorbike for every two people in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) that is a total of 5 million and it feels like they are all on the road at once!
So the fact at the top summarizes how manic the roads are in this city. After an 8 hour sleeper bus we had crossed the border and entered Saigon, Vietnam a place similar to that of Bangkok in style but less developed. First things first we did get scammed £15 by a dodgy taxi driver but we arrived at a cheap decent hotel at the heart of the back packing community in Saigon. First things first we each got a curry buffet for $5 each which was a mountain of food well worth the £3 I think it equates to. It was recommended by the lonely planet backpackers book which I haven't mentioned much but has certainly been my backpacking bible! It has given us the means to put our feet on the ground in east Asia. We then explored the area around the hotel and settled in for a quite one. It's amazing how tiring traveling can be, but the rewards are to great!
