It´s fabulous here!! We would gladly stay for longer but the vineyards are a-calling...
We have spent 6 days here and have been all over the city. We have seen the Evita museum (did you know she was only 33 when she died?!), visited her grave (Catholic´s certainly know how create a spectacular graveyard), visited an art gallery with works by all the famous artists I can name, watched a tango show (a little nervously as we were in the front row, but luckily there was no audience particpation required) and generally loitered around nice areas of the city.
The whole place has quite a Parisian feel to it, with very similar architecture, and it is a really lively, vibrant place. There is live music and dancing in the streets all over the place and football is a national obsession even more so than at home. The downside is that they don´t clear up after their dogs and the pavements are pot-holed so walking along requires a great deal of concentration (Richard has stubbed his toes more times than I can count).
Off to Mendoza tonight for a few days relaxing in the vineyards - shouldn´t be too hard...
Thanks for all your messages - it´s great to hear from you. (Sorry Jonty - it wasn´t meant to be a telling off!)
