We're on our last full day in Hawaii and we've spent it doing a once in a lifetime trip. We got up at 5am this morning to go and swim with Dolphins. Despite the early start it was totally worth it, absolutely amazing!! We decided to go natural and swim in the wild rather than in a water park where the Dolphins are in captivity. We headed out to a bay and there were about 60 dolphins swimming around, they head inland during the day to sleep so we knew where they would be. After taking a load of pictures we sailed close so we could get into the water with them. It was truly magical. A pod of around 5 dolphins swam about 1m away from me, although you're not allowed to touch them I could have. There were some babies with them too, about 1m in length. We swam with them for about 30 mins although most of that time the dolphins were swimming away from us!!
After that we went to a different bay to do some snorkelling. We saw an abundance of colourful fish and even some turtles, Rich and Eva were brave enough to follow a black tip reef shark, I however was not!!
We got some good pictures with an underwater camera so will have them to remember our swim.
We fly to Vegas via LA airport tomorrow, it will be my first time in the bright lights and I can't wait. It's Rich's 30th while we're there too so we'll have plenty of celebrating to do!!
