Hey everyone. we lef the jungle behind and landed safely in kuala lumpur. very nice city with lots going on. the weather was fab too. we were stayin in chinatown with all the stalls (boni you would love it...bargains on designer stuff). We went on a city tour where we saw all the main sights, national palace, national mosque, KL Sentral, Golden triangle, Petronas towers etc. Visted the largest covered free flying aviary in the world and saw some amazing birds and got up close and personal with some of the parrots too. Visited an orchid garden which was also quite cool. we then ventured into town where we got some bargains. Really need to stop shopping. Its becoming an addiction every time we see a mall. The stuff over here is so cheap though.
Met up with a lot of Richards family who really took us under their wing and took us out for some lovely meals where we got to sample a lot of the local cuisine. Tried some amazing fruit at thier house too. They also took us to the Genting highlands where we took a cable car up the mountains and wne to a massive casino (won nothing) Was a lovely long weekend in KL but a very busy one.
Langkawi island is all about relaxation and luckily thats our next stop.
