Day 3 - Disneyland Tokyo
I was so excited this morning, Mum and I were up and dressed by 7.30am but had some problems getting Dad out of bed! Once we all had breakfast (bowl of rice and other strange delicacies) we headed to the train station and caught the train to Tokyo. It took us 15mins to walk from our first train to the next train because Tokyo station is huge it felt almost as big as the CDB in Melbourne!!! Finally we arrived at Disneyland. It was big and beautiful and everything that I dreamed it would be.
Disneyland is divided up into 6 lands.
We started in Adventureland our first ride was Pirates of the Caribbean, we sat in boats and were taken through the Caribbean, Mum saw Captain Jack Sparrow and was very excited he looked so real. They really took a deal of time making all the characters look life like it was amazing. Followed by a Jungle Cruise (outside) with a tour guide who only spoke Japanese he was very animated although we didn't understand anything he said we got the general idea by his body language and facial expressions.
We then boarded the Western River Railroad which took us to Westernland. The highlight of this land was Big Thunder Mountain a roller coaster ride (Mum screamed the whole way - she doesn't like roller coasters that much. After that Dad and I were on a mission to find as many roller coaster rides as possible to make Mum go on!!!). We stopped here for lunch and had fried chicken and chips.
Critterland was next, even better than a roller coaster ride is one with a massive drop at the end through water!! Dad and I were so excited. We wanted to do it again but Mum said no, there were plenty of other things still to see.
Fantasyland where dreams really do come true was lots of fun. Peter Pan's flight saw us in a flying boat over Never Never Land. The Haunted Mansion was another roller coaster ride though the Nightmare Before Christmas, the effects in this ride were amazing. Pooh's Hunny Hunt was so much fun, we were in little honey pots that spun as we moved through the story book. The best part was when we met Tigger the honey pot started bouncing (in a huge room the floor bounced like a huge trampoline).
Next was ToonTown, Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin was fun. We saw Minnie's and Mickey's houses and went on the Gadget's Go Coater.
Tomorrowland was Dad's favorite land, on the Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blaster we got to shot at the aliens with laser guns on the ride (Dad scored more points than Mum as she couldn't aim her laser very well). But Dad's favorite ride was Space Mountain an extremely fast, no supersonic fast roller coaster in the dark, you should have heard Mum screaming all the way till she had no voice! Our last ride for the day was the Grand Circuit Raceway, we got to sit in a mini race car and went around the track, Dad drove (but no very well according to Mum).
By this time it was dark 6pm and we just made it see show with Minnie and Michey, Donald and Daisy, Pluto, Goofey and other Disney characters. There was dancing and bright costumes, some awesome effects. Mum really enjoyed this and thought about auditioning for a dancing part. But I think she would miss home too much.
Then came the best part of the whole day, something that Mum and I had been waiting for!!! The Electrical Parade, it was the best. I cannot describe it! So please check out the photos they say it all.
It was a long day but very exciting we didn't get home till 10.30pm after leaving at 9.30am this morning. We had just spent 9½ hrs at Disneyland. It was the best day ever.
