Day 8 - Osaka & Hiroshima
This morning we booked our ferry to China for later in the week and then caught the Shinkansen (bullet train) from Osaka to Hiroshima. Dad said he reckoned I could fly almost as fast as the bullet train but Mum said that I'm not old enough to fly that fast yet.
Hiroshima is much smaller than anywhere else we have visited and Dad said the size of our hotel room matches! It is hardly bigger than a shoe box and it is like playing Tetris to move around each other.
For lunch we ate at a little café by the river, and afterwards Mum headed off for some shopping. Dad and I decided to go to the Hiroshima Prefecture Art Museum and it was great. We saw some really famous paintings from Salvador Dali and Pablo Picasso as well as some excellent Japanese paintings - my favourite was of a huge golden dragon.
We also visited the traditional Japanese garden which was very pretty. The garden was home to a number of animals including a cat, crabs and even turtles!
