Drove to Plymouth. Stopped at the very friendly visitors center and got recommendations from them for lunch and sights. Parked in the lot behind the center and walked along waterfront. Went aboard the Mayflower II for a tour and talked with the man dressed in period costume who was supposed to be 2nd mate Robert Coppin.
Went to look at Plymouth Rock.
Walked back to fishing wharf where we ate at Cabby Shack. We all got the chowder, the boys got it in bread bowls, and their claim to fame is correct, it really was the best Chowdah Ev-vah!
We drove onto the Cape over the Sagamore bridge and stopped in Hyannis at Trader Joes for groceries. Next we went up to Wellfleet.
Check-in for the house was at 3 and we quickly unloaded the car and got settled. We walked on our beach, explored and saw lots of horseshoe crabs, regular crabs and little fish.
Made spaghetti for dinner.
