Today we were up at the crack of dawn to go rafting! Whoop! We spent around 3 hours getting up to the head of the Upper Navua river in the mountains of Fiji (interesting journey including some of the steepest roads I've ever been on!). After a brief hike we then set off down 16 miles of river. The views were amazing starting with some narrow gorges and rapids and eventually opening out into wide calm river towards the bottom. We stopped for lunch of sarnies and cake before heading off again stopping at the 'free massage waterfall' (you can imagine what happened there) and a bit of a swim. The whole way down our lovely guide Noah told us tales of the Fijian lifestyle and we also met a couple of kids on their summer hols floating down the river on a raft made of bamboo (called a bilibili - more that another day though!), cute!! Evening was spent recovering and relaxing as normal! Happy birthday to Geej today as well of course! Hope you enjoyed your first birthday as a dad Geej!
