Well, we are now in Fiji! Whoop! This week, we spent a very chilled few days in Santa Monica with Allen and Jess. We wanted to visit the Huntington library but mixed up our days so it wasn't to be this time! Instead we went back to Santa Monica pier (where we were for part of last years hols), tried corn dogs (officially dirty food but you can't knock it - bit like Kansas chicken!), did some admin and Ian took a dip in the sea. We also had another fab meal with Allen and Jess, this time at home where Allen knocked up some amazing beef tacos with beef that had been in the slow cooker for about a day (so tender!) and Jess whipped up some home made guacamole (must remember to get the recipe) and we sat up having a good old natter about all things British/American! We got on the plane on Tuesday evening from LAX, crossed the date line, and ended up in Fiji on Thursday morning after a mere 11hours! A whole day disappeared! Weird!! We're getting our bearings today and tomorrow, and we join the feejee experience tour on Saturday morning. For now, we're enjoying the hotel pool, and a large dose if R&R!! The Fijians so far have been just about the friendliest people ever! They are of course as excited about the world cup as we are!!
