Whoo Hoo road trip!
Jay drove down from Sydney on the 27th (10 hours! he must be crazy) and we spent the afternoon walking round the city.
Then on the 28th we headed off on our road trip along The Great Ocean Road! We didnt rush and we checked out Victoria Markets before we set off. So by the time we got to the ocean road it was around 3pm! So we decided to drive straight to Port cambell and find somewhere to camp. We were so lucky as it took us alot longer than we hopped. but when we got to port cambell we took a wrong turn and endedup in a camp site! Cool! Sunset wasnt till 8.55pm, so we had just enough time to pitch our tent, grab fish n chips and drive to see the 12 apostles (the rocks in all the photos) at sun set, GREAT!
We were so cosy in our tent it was great fun and the weather was lovely, not too hot not too cold. the next day we drove back along the great ocean road stopping at all the sights and a few towns to streach our legs, walk along the beach etc. we were so chilled out it was lovely just stopping if and when we wanted.
I was told you could do the G.O.Road in a day but I would say dont, take at least 2 days. we did it in 2 and we could have spent a lot longer at some of the lookouts or towns.
We carried on our road trip back up to Sydney the next day, where we stopped to see Ned Kelly and ahuge submarine somewhere else. It was sad to say by to my cousin Liz, Prav and the kids Jai and Kiran.I had such a good time there I felt like part of the family. I look forward to seeing them again before I fly to Asia.
