Well there goes the first three days of my Adventure tour! And it was FAB! Infact make that a DOUBLE FAB! DAY ONE- 1st the amazing world of the termite! Which I have found quite facinating. In my photo you are looking at is a Cathedral termite mound. There is probably over 2million termites living here with one queen. And boy is she busy! She lays all the eggs to keep the mound alive, which is incredible as a termite has a one week life span! There is termite mounds everywhere up here, all different types and sizes, they even need metal (and some non termite tasty woods) telegraph poles so they don't get eaten! Next we stoped at Florence falls and Buley rock pools, (all croc free I assure you!) where we took a dip in the freezing cold waters. We rounded off the day with a great River Cruise on the Mary River. It was beautiful its so great to see all the wildlife in its true habitat. So, sorry to all zoo owners out there but I've been sold to nature, you just won't be able to compete anymore! We saw loads of crocs 'freshwater' and 'salties'! Just sitting in the sun making sure we didn't get too close. Plus all the plants and birds, it was an overall great trip!
