Hello, thank yopu so much for writing guys - it's nice to hear news from home and advice (from SELINAS MUM).
Selina, I'm afraid I already bumped into one of your Indian friends, diarrhoea but I am trying to avoid your other friend constipation. Tell your mum that I said Indian money smells funny and so does my room! And that's a good point about clean underwear - besides, if I do have an accident, not only will they take me to hospital, but one of the ambulance men might be fit!!
Soraya hello darling! Yes, I will let you know when I'll be in South America - you must join me. Sup I already have 20 uses for a leaf and counting. Everyone else I MISS U!!
I know what you're all thinking - what am I still doing in Leh??
Well I'm on my own now - Maya caught a flight this morning to Delhi to meet mum and my bro. They're going to fly straight to Goa. Me? Well I'm going by land to Delhi, then meeting them there. Why I hear you ask, well partly money saving but also the sights on the way are great and the overnight coach is comfy so why not. I suppose I also don't want the responsibilty of hotel searching and all that - since it's coming up to Diwali, Goa's going to be packed and I'mm tired of planning (those of you who know me know that I've been planning this trip for about a year!)
Goa wasn't in the original plan, but the Dengue fever in Delhi/Rajasthan has prompted us to go somewhere else... maybe the outbreak will die down in a month and we can spend a week or so there. Mum and Keeran (bro) will be with us for a month now. It will be nice to have some company other than Maya as I'm too fast for her and she's too slow for me so finding middle ground is quite difficult (i'm spur of the moment Rish and she's plan a month in advance Maya.) Most of the time has worked out fine, but I'm definately more of a doer than a thinker.
Anyway enough of my probs, I had a lovely Tibetan Porridge with honey this morning for breakfast - it's like normal porridge but made from flour instead of oat. Everyone know I don't drink tea, but the Indian tea is made from milk and has spices so I'm in love, especially in Leh as it gets so cold here and spicy tea is the remedy!
