Hello Missus,
Long time no contact - v sorry about that. No excuses except for the usual - hectic work schedule etc etc. Been promoted to manager finally, so now doing both my old job and the new one. But can't complain as at least being paid a few more pence. The great thing is I can now afford my train fare to work - what a luxury! Other exciting news is that Chris and I are going to Oz for Christmas/NYE 2007...we felt in honour of turning 30 we ought to have a good hols. Shame you won't still be there. When do you return to the land of Eng anyway? Miss you lots and lots and hope hunt for work has picked up.
lots of love Caro xxx
P.S. Don't forget to get in touch with my Aunt & Uncle in Coolum on your east coast travels. they are always happy to accommodate waifs and strays ;-)

Hi Katie-May,
I hope all is well and that you are enjoying every minute in Sydney. The Aussie WAG idea would help with the finances but I think you're too smart and too nice to be a full time WAG.
Can't believe it's February already, have you received any Valentine offers yet. Our technical manager at work gave me my best offer so far, the choice between a finger of fudge or a curly wurly (obviously the curly-wurly won as it's bigger).
Stayed up all night last week to watch the Super Bowl, which was lots of fun. I can't believe it's been 8 years since the Dirty Birds went to Miami.
Take care and keep up with the great photos.

Dearest Kate!
What a treat! lots of fab pictures and equally satisfying tales of your adventures...more please!, you are looking all gorgeous and bronzed me dear...no doubt fighting off all those aussie/non aussie hunks.....really glad to hear that you are settling into life in Sydney, it's wierd thinking you have been gone for a while now and you are so far away! am sure you know you are being missed loads. Life in London tick tocks on, instead of nursing my usual alcohol induced sore heads, am nursing a very sore back as I managed to tear or pull a muscle in my upper back over the weekend which resulted in me practically begging the pharmacist for the 'hardest drugs' possible without a prescription..which led to some very funny looks....anyway am hooked up to a nice cocktail of pain relief drugs which should hopefully sort me out sharpish! I promise to try and send you a more comp update on life here but in the meantime bring on more of Kate's adventures purrleease! lots of love and fat hugs to you, take care Fozxxxx

Dear All
How ya goin'?! Alls good here, living and working in Sydney at the moment. (spent the last couple of weeks working for the football federation..maybe I could become an Aussie WAG then I could do the rest of my trip in luxury!!!)
Sydney is a fantastic city, although not much work around at the moment which is a shame but hopefully it should pick up. Planning on staying here until the end of March (ish!) before hitting the East Coast to do Fraser Island, Barrier Reef, Byron Bay etc!
Have added lots of photos and writing the accompanying blog tomorrow!...as it's been a hideously long time since I've done any updates there will be lots for you to check out if you get bored at work!
Bye for now
Lots of love

Hello Greasy! How is everything going? I hope the big Aussie beefcackes didn't cause you any grief whilst on our 'ended before it even got started' telephone call! How is the job hunting going? I heard that it is now 39 degrees in Sydney so that must be helping!? Is there a number that I can call you on as I have bought a calling card, so won't cost (Scott) an arm and a leg?! Would be nice to catch up properly - haven't actually had any sucessful communication since you left -not that anything interesting has happened to me since you left! same job, same house - og just went to Paris for the weekend for a 30th birthday party but was just the usual drink-fuelled evening that one would expect. Missing you loads! not the same when we all get together!xx

Hello darling Katie May,
So you're still living the dream in style! We're missing you lots over here and we're all v jealous of your fab trip to Oz. Chris and I are still hoping to celebrate our 30ths in Australia at the end of the year...we're hoping our budgets can stretch that far, but it might be a bit ambitious.
Thanks for the Christmas card - it was such a nice surprise.
Sending you lots of love and hope to hear from you again v soon.

Darling Kate!
Firstly belated Happy Xmas and a Fab New Year, sounds like you did it all in style and warm sun (v. envious as the weather here is so crap..), am so sorry have been woefully bad at posting a message to you since my last.., anyway wish I was out there in Oz too!; it's only until you hear about things from someone else that it revives all those wonderful memories that made you fall in love with the place. I am sure you will secure a job in no time; they would be mad not to want to hire you on the spot. V. much looking forward to reading the next journal entries, it does wonders for the soul on a particurlalrly bad day in the office. Life in London ticks on and apart from trying to detox on the alcohol front (lasted a pitiful 3 days..) things are ok. Will email you a 'catch' up session soon. lots of love sweet Kate and say hello to that sunshine and ocean for me! xxxx

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!
Hope alls really well and that everyone had a lovely christmas and fun new year.
I have been mostly job hunting in 2007 so far (along with EVERY other backpacker in Sydney!)
Christmas was fun and although the weather was a bit ropey here over Christmas (further fuelling the anger of the Barmy Army!!!)the sun did come out for a couple of hours on Christmas day...so we headed to Bondi to take the classic 'smug christmas on the beach' photo!!!
Headed to the harbour for New Years Eve to check out the fireworks which were FAB. Had a great spot in First Fleet Park which is right by Circular Quay in between the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge.
Bye for now
Loads of love
