Hi Everyone!!!

We finally made it!

We are very excited to be writing our very first blog entry from San Fran! After what seemed like an eternity of waiting, we are finally on our 3 month adventure! The flight was excrutiatingly long, given someone had tried to blow up a plane the day before we left, which in turn meant that there were 100% security searches for passengers out of the UK. Linds was not happy when she found out that not only was the flight delayed by 3 hours, but she could not watch any movies or have any in-flight entertainment due to new USA restrictions on flights!!!

Still, we're here now, and it's great! On our first day we headed straight for Bus 76 and took a journey over to Marin Headlands. On the way back, we stopped on the other side of the bridge and decided to walk back over and into town! A very long walk but well worth it! Graham reckons we walked about 4 miles so we really deserved our first Starbucks lunch!
Afterwards we carried on walking up to Fishermans Wharf, which Graam found a bit tacky, but I thought the smell was yummy!! We then walked to Pier 39 where we booked a table at Neptune's Palace. After all that walking we decided we were pretty tired, so started to head back to the hotel to chill out and we took the Powell and Mason Cable Car! WELL COOL! For those hanging on the outside they had to take care when cable cars were passing in the opposite direction not to get hit! But there was good banter and cheers when it worked!

Today we have walked another good few miles. We started by going to Pier 33 to get a boat tour to Alcatraz but we found that the next possible journey available was in 3 days!!!! Will have to give prison a miss this time. So we then walked to Coit Tower and had some spectacular views of San Fran and the Bay area from the top. We spotted the crazy looking Lombard street from there, and decided to walk over to take some piccies. Finally we have just enjoyed a very nice Chinese lunch at 'Brandy Ho's' in China Town.

Tomorrow we are hoping to pop over to Sausalito for a nice coastal walk!
