Dear all !!

Well hello again from the Peak of British Columbia! Haven't we been busy?! Here is our next blog for all you keen as mustard readers!

Vancouver has been an interesting place so far. We arrived on the 30th Dec and were very much looking forward to partaking in some snowboarding and some other Candian cultures but this evening we have hit the pinnacle! We went to a Vancouver Giants Ice Hockey game - IT WAS AWESOME!!!!

We have walked the length and breadth of Vancouver (as you do) and have been to the top of the 'lookout' to get some great views over the city and nearby mountains. We have of course been boarding (and despite thinking we would be a bit rubbish - actually picked it up pretty well) and are going back on Tues!!!!!! Grouse Mountain was lovely and our instructor taught us loads in our lesson. Unfortuantely though the 'bunny slopes' got a bit busy in the afternoon and we could not go for more than a metre or two without 'having to' fall over people, so as we gave in our boards and explained this to the very nice Kiwi guy - he offered us some complimentary tickets for another day!!! Well you can't look a gift horse.....

This evening though was ACE and hopefully you will see from the pictures that we had a fab time at the Pacific Coliseum watching the Vancouver Giants who won 6-3. We enjoyed a beer and a dog (hotdog) and saw some pretty cool smashes against the glass!! Hopefully we can upload our videos too - CRAZY!!!

Two more days left in Vancouver before we head to a warmer climate - it has been pretty freezing here - Ruth thank you SO much for your Boarding gear - I've been wearing it nearly every day!!! Graham and I have been feeling like we're getting on a bit though... after one days boarding, Graham popped both his groin muscles and I have been unable to lift anything above elbow height! LOVING BOARDING!!!
