The night before the big trip!!! Can't tell you how excited I am!!! Aaaaarghh and so scared at the same time.
I'm not the biggest Christian in the world, but I wonder what God has in store for me for the next 2 months. Will I come back with new perspectives, new dreams, new ideologies? How will I feel when I'm back? Relieved and thankful for all i have at home? Regretful and wishing I had taken another path? Out of place, and wanting more? Who knows, who knows! Destiny isn't exposing any secrets!!!
I have had a great day today, despite the circumstances. A beautiful and touching funeral for my grand-aunt, Aunty Harriett (may she rest in peace). It was a perfect day to be around my family, enjoy their company and cherish their many amazing personalities (right from the cheeky, energetic nephews to the worry-frenzy aunts!) My family are truly amazing and I hope to appreciate them on a whole new level when I return.
As for my friends, my God, I love them! I have laughed so much tonight! There is no other group of people that I feel more at home with. They truly put me in my comfort zone (and that's something that can not be easily reached due to my awkward shyness). New and old friends all on one table (with crappy food and weak cocktails, I'm afraid) were a great send-off for me. They will all surely be in my hearts while I'm away.
Also, shout out to my hairdresser Aunty Eunice, much love!!!
Anyway it's time for me to grab some kip. Tomorrow will be a long ass day (my room is a bomb & packing is incomplete). So here I say goodnight to today and good morning to the exciting future of tomorrow!
Goodnight London xxxxxx
