This was our last port of our wonderful cruise. We had quite an adventure visiting these amazing countries and places! The ship provided fabulous food and amazing entertainment. The talent each evening was exceptional. Due to the smaller ship we met some wonderful friends who we hope to stay in touch with. Sad to see the cruise end!

We spent our last morning in San Diego visiting Balboa Park. This is an unbelievable park with great museums and exhibits. We loved the Botanical Garden filled with gorgeous orchids. We had lunch at "The Prado" an exceptional restaurant at the park. We then headed toward Palm Springs via the scenic "Pacific to Palms" route. It was a beautiful mountain drive and quite impressive as we came across and dropped into the valley of Palm Springs.
Today we took in the USS Midway Aircraft Carrier and the Maritime Museum. Randy was in his glory and loved the Aircraft Carrier. The submarines were pretty amazing and hard to believe men could live in these tight quarters. We had some great clam chowder at Anthony's!
We spent our full first day taking a Segway Tour. It was very easy to get the hang of it and were off to your the Gaslamp District and the Bayfront. The weather was good today with temps in the upper 60's and sunshine. The Gaslamp District is a 13 block area with over 70 restaurants. Lots of excellent choices. All within walking distance of our hotel.
We arrived in San Diego after two full days of driving. We had a challenging drive out of Oregon as Eugene had 8 inches of snow and we were pushing snow with the car. There were accidents and it was a bit of white knuckle driving. We stayed at the Hilton, Bayfront Hotel. We were on the 27th floor with a corner room with great views of the bay and the Coronado island and bridge.
