Day 1 in San Fran, after a very tiring day before and 10 hours sleep we awoke at 5am many skype calls later we had breakfast and went walkabout...We walked down to market street, it was raining reallt badly and it was freezing cold, the hoods and hats went up determined to not be beaten by the elements.. We was waiting to cross the road and because of the hood situation could see vey well grabbed hold of what I thought was Adams arm but he didnt move I turned around to see this bearded man in a cap looking at me and wondering why I was linking arams with him...Adam was disgusted with me, the man told me he loved me too and well I went the same colour as my jacket I think... How embarasing...We got the bottom of the street and got on the tram it was great and we got lots of good pictures.
Got to Fishermans Wharf walked down to ther end of the pier took some photos but the weather was hammering it down, shame really...
We was looking for something to warm us up and I found a street vendor selling Clam Chowder sour dough rolls, they looked delicious so we bought 2 and was told we could sit on benches round the corner. (In the restuarant next door they were double the price)
When we got round the corner there was tramp and a black man painted silver(weird)..Adams Face was a picture, he looked at me to say what are we doing?! But the tramp moved on as soon as we sat down obviously didnt want to sit with us, which was good as the feeling was mutual and the silver man was telling himself to get back out there and get on with it which was very amusing.....After some hot drinks we planned to get a travel card for the day and went down to the golden gate bridge, but we manged to find some travel cards for 1/3 of the price, so my budget planning was starting to be put to use...
Rain was a major part of the day but we saw some great sights and didnt cost as much as it could of, we have bought another battery for the camera so I can take double the amount of pictures which if you havent seen already are on facebook as they will not load on here for some reason.... Hope you are all ok at home and I am sure with the wonders of modern technology will speak to you again soon.
