Joshua Tree NP
After a cold night we were grateful when we got a lumberjack breakfast at Dennys and wifi for 30 mins just enough time to fill our bellys and change booking for Los Angeles.
We wasnt really expecting much as we had seen Yosemite and the Grand Canyon... It was the most amazing landscape I had ever seen it looked like we were in space.... Huge boulders and Joshua trees and Cactus everywhere. Being glad that we had hiking shoes on we treked until we got the largest mountain/boulders I had seen and starting try to climb they were granite rock quite easy to get up BUT I got so far and started to panic, Adam on the other hand was so high up he looked like the size of a lemming in the distance.. After many photo shots on my new camera and feeling calm enough to get down I started my descent only to find when I turned the corner Adam was at the bottom of it looking up. Joey once again helped me get down and gave the advice use arms, legs and your bum the more contact on the rocks the less you will hurt youself.. Well I am here to tell the tale.....
As we started the drive back to the hotel which we were all very excited about the most beautiful sky was above us, so many colours pinks, blues, greys, orange, reds, yellows we were all lost for words and everytime you took a picture it was different from the one before, not only had I took that day over 200 photos I still had battery life.... thank god for the cannon and the kerrys wise words who now had me converted i will only ever buy cannon cameras from now on.
The most amazing day one that we will remember for a very long time and finished off with a huge mexican dinner... and the best nights sleep ;-)
LA tommorrow and the end of the tour, some good friends made and ones that we will meet up with in oz....
