Our final stop in this adventure is upon us.
It has been four years to the day since we were her last - July 2004. Dan and I had both just finished school and all set to head off to University. I was 18, Dan just about to turn 18. We were surronded by all sorts of temptations, some of which we took advantage of, most of them we didn't - honestly!
But we are still a bit lost. We were under the guidance of somebody older and wiser last time, and had to do minimal thinking for ourselves. We were shown the right restaurants and the right, (or wrong) bars, depending on your opinions on the matter, and ultimately just had a good time with our friends in this strangely appealing country.
But wandering the streets alone now, we only vaguely recall certain elements - there's the McDonalds we went to for some greasy food one day, there is the Internet Cafe that we whiled away many an hour, there's that girl that Dan....only joking!
It's nice to be here and experience it slightly older and wiser! Perhaps we can appreciate the culture more, the local arts and customs. Maybe we can hang out in the local streets, and learn the way the live.
Or more likely, we will buy cheap knock off DVDs, hooky T-Shirts, and drink beer in darkened corners whilst ping-pong balls fly at our face.
It's a tough life!
