Oh well, welcome home. 'Twas obviously a fine trip.

Hi guys!
Your photos are amazing--was Paul Daniels travelling with you? I'll be back in Edinburgh for two weeks at the end of May. Will you be around? Be great to catch up on your adventures!

Hi Guys, looking forward to seeing you soon. I suggest a celebratory slap up meal at Mrs Miggins Pie Shop to welcome you back. Or failing that La Favorita for a pizza bosciaola!

Hi All
Had enough of all this swanning round gorgeous places in warm, sunny weather so we´re coming back home.
We´ll be back in the UK on 21 April and in Scotland (but not our flat) about a week later.
Looking forward to catching up with you all.

Hi guys, since you're going to be home in time we thought we should put you down for the marathon relay. We're expecting top times with all the altitude training you've been doing.
V. jealous of the trip. Especially as the weather here is so variable. Radio said avg. temp this time last year was 19 degs C, this year it's 4! See you soon D x

Ranaldo, Denise- just catching up with the latest ; explosive demonstrations as light relief and 2 hour tourist mine tours? Sure you 2 aren't hiding out in Fife?!! Isn't all starting to look a bit 'samey'.* No pressure - Eleanor was pictured with a GIANT lemon merangue pie and kissin' a seal in her last pics.......sb.x

Snowed yesterday. Snowed today. When do we see you again? [No need to burst into song.] Ranald - Fraser's looking forward to kicking your ass at the wall.
Photos are great - pity they're tinged with green (as usual) when they arrive on my computer screen.

Hi you two, got the two latest photo cds today. will let you know if they're ok once we've had a look at them. Hope you get this message, it's the first one we've been able to post - problem with internet explorer version! Have now managed to get a browser that works with our system!!

Great pictures! Are we going to get commentary with those vids?
Don't hurry coming back. You're not missing much here. Cold and wet as usual. Though I hear that Sunderland might merge with Newcastle FC...

I'm sitting at home on my own - Beth's gone out to a preschool council meeting. My computer keeps crashing on the second last level of Half-Life.
I can't believe the end of series 3 of the Wire. How can they have done that to Stringer Bell, the best baddie on TV for years? We are getting season 4 when it comes out next week. Meantime we watch the latest season of 24 - the one you thought was rubbish. we think it is rubbish also, but have very low expectations and an otherwise empty existence.
Spring has come here - beth got Sandy to mow the lawn and Alex is asking me how many daffodils there are out in the world at the moment.
Ben is very excited as he went to the hospital I work in the other day and got a cake from the CCU nurses. He got to press the buttons in the lift without having to fight with Alex. he's also very excited about having an operation next week. He's needing to have bilateral inguinal hernia repairs. Me and Beth are not so happy about it, but there's no real alternative.
I liked your video clip from cape horn or wherever. Can you put up some clips with both of you in them - I miss you.
Have fun,
Love
Neil

Re. Santiago I'd sympathise but spending a little time in passport control going between 2 idyllic locations for an extended holiday seems a lot nicer than my weekend of work driving up and down the A7 in horizontal rain to stick a thermometer... well let's not get into that. Hope you're having fun on your trek apparently raw cocaine - good for altitude sickness. Let me know.

God, it's almost painful to see those pictures... Photoshop, right? Please?
