First day of our Holiday
Hocking, Western Australia
Hi all
We both finished work at midnight last night after finishing an 11hour shift bus driving on rail replacement from Wellington Street Bus Station to Claisebrook Rail Station in Perth. We transfered train passengers between the two stations because of maintenance being carried out on the rail lines.
At midnight we officially started our first long awaited holiday by visiting Domino's Pizza place in Mirrabooka and devouring a Ham and pineapple pizza, honey and soy chicken thghs and a can of coke.
We both finally got to bed and sleep at 1.30am with happy thoughts of knowing no need for an early rise, no need to expect calls from work and the realisation that we can now do what we want to do.
Today (Sunday 13th Oct 2013) is our first day of our 4 week holiday.
The first thing on our list of things to do are all domestic as we are still at home. George was up at 6am doing the first lot of washing work uniforms and watching the start of the Bathurst 1000 race on TV.
Val enjoying her lazy morning sleep in.
We will be busy packng our suitcases in preperation for our early morning departure tomorrow (Monday) for our trip to Freemantle to catch the ferry to Rottnest Island at 10am. We have a booking at RottNest Lodge for 3 days. We scored a great deal for 3 nights, pay for 2 with buffet breakfast included. Couldnt be fairer than that, could it?.
So on that note its all up and up from here. Watch out WA here we come! LOL.
