Berlin was not what I expected! It was pretty spread out and not bustling like a capitol city should be in m opinion! But i didn't come to party I came for the history. And there was plenty of that. The memorial to the people who died in the holocaust was pretty interesting and I say people not just Jews were murdered but anyone that was different gypsies gay and so on. The majority of course were Jews. It's a group of granite stones in all different heights. Interpretation is up to the viewer. I looked at as coffins. Morbid I know but that's what came to mind. We did a walking tour around town with Finn our guide originally from Belfast. He walked too fast and talked too much but I really liked him. Got to touch and see several parts of what remain f the Berlin wall! One highlight was when we stood in a parking lot above hitlers bunker. Cracks me up! Got a pix of my feet! As for my feet, I have one funky farmers tan from my sandals! I went to visit the Jewish museum the building itself is a piece of art. There was so much to see! At night it began to pour!! We went out for dinner and a pub crawl my feet and shoes were soaked The rest of me was ok I had an umbrella! Nothing spectacular to speak of.
We headed out of Berlin and stopped in Dresden which has that old feeling mixed with the new!! Enjoyed it very much with my new California friend shayna!!! then we were on our way to Prague...
