London, UK
Well i arrived here a week and a day ago. It has been interesting being here. When i got off the plane, i was a little scared because i didnt know how i was going to get to the college. Thankfully a someone for the group knoew where to so that helped. We took the underground which was a hassle. Getting off and on the and people getting mad because out luggage was in the was (oh yeah i didnt not get lost in the underground for five hours! I dont know how that rumor started. Plus i was with four other people) After wondering around trying to get to the college throught the massive park we got there ok only to find out we have to carry out luggage to the third floor! Oh that was so much fun! As the days went on it got better. The best part are the excursions. The first excursion was Westminister Abbey. When i first heard of the Abbey i didnt kno what it was? I just thought it was another cathedral that we would be visiting, but as Chuck brought us in the Abbey and he explained to us the history it became a fasinating place. I was overwhelmed by all the kings and queens i didnt know what to say or how to feel. It was breath taking. I only wish my mom could have been there to see it with me. I know she would have felt the same way. It was the best place to have out first excursion because i believe everyone really appreciated it. Our second excursion was the Billy Elliot musical. I have to say when i heard we were going to a musical was like what are we nine year old all over again and we're going to see an mucsical! I personal do not like musicals but i have to say bill elliot was amazing. The boy can dance and sing, he is very talented. All the characters were hillarious which brought more to the musical. I liked it alot! I liked the sound effects and how they really brougt it to life. I think thats what made it really good. The thrid excursion was to catebury and Dover. Cantebury was a nice little town with the cathedral in the middle. I liked how it was fenced in. The Cathedral has a lot of history with destruction of it. The part of the history that caught my attetion was the killing of the bishop or the priest. I dont know why anyone would want to kill a bishop or priest. And the two swords that they have hanging up that they actually used was interesting to see. That caught my attention too. The stain glass windows were amazing even thought there not the original ones. That impressive. I really like Dove because it was near the water. The white cliffs were unblieveable. And you can see france from the hills which made it even better. The underground tunnels that they uses during the was were we kept. I didnt know were going to take a tour of it so that was a treat and a surprise all together. It was nice looking at all the old canon bomb things they had sitting around. The castle was not as big as the one i have seen before but it was hard getting to the top. And the kings bedroom was a little too small for a king. The structure of the castle was interesting. It was a fun day the best excursion so far. I really enjoyed the ocean.
