For those of you who know me well, you'll know I have just a slight obssesion with tea (particuarly Yorkshire! Other than in Kampala I've managed to live without it for six weeks now. In Uganda they have a thing called Chai. It is water that is boiled with crushed ginger. In school they have also started to prepare it with milk for us- which tastes nothing like you would imagine! The other thing is ith chai it is taken with a MOUNTAIN of sugar, no teaspoons are used just heaped tablespoons! I have one spoonful per mug but am constantly being told that this isn't enough!
However even one spoonful of sugar has got to taste better than a tea incident that occured warlier this wekk... Beth decided to make our morning cups of tea, she handed me mine, I took a sip and nearly sat it out across the school office. Turns out she had got the sugar and salt mixed up! I can still taste it when I think about it!
