The earliest memories of Time are usually the warm overlapping comfort of a protective mother, holding the tired finger of a stubbled and a disoriented Dad lost at this new game of parenthood or as in my case grabbing the last enticing chip from an Uncle Chips packet.Time as we know it is just a institutionalized intruder of our monochromatic society..A stream of soothingly mindless hubub that defines our days and months. -this birthday, that date.Life really is a set of experiences of been there done that.Think about it.?What is life really? An individuals journey to experience as much as we can using Time as a raft. The first time we burn our fingers ,the first time we steal a cadbury from the freezer, the first time we understand the intricacies of social interaction, the first time we see the ocean,a mounatin, taste our first biryani, feel a feather caress our arms,,the confusingly tempting smells of a market, the infinite pleasures of a earbud, the time we danced in the rain, the realisation of our sexual orientation, first kiss, the time we decide we have found the love of our lives which usually turns out to be a case of hormonal overload and transient compatibility, the time we learnt how to ride a cycle or swim, school, the wedding, the dog,the kid ,school,Insurance,College,Degrees,Examinations, classes, more classes,Hospital trips,Teenage pregnancy tests, more weddings and classes,a relative's funeral, midnight icecream sessions with cousins, the time we went for that long drive just to put our heads and out and to feel the wind hitting us,cricket matches, more weddings, ..there are just so many more experiences life has to offer us.Time for us mortals is a reminder of a pending expiration date.Take love for instance-the most powerful feeling we experience -its timeless. It will stay forever unlike last nights birthday celebrations or last years anniversary gifts..so its useful to keep it healthy because it roots us to the eternity...Love gives us orientation and direction, not Time...Maybe its the love of travel, love of family love of writing,.Today social interactions ahve become even easier albeit more shallow with social networks. There is more to gain from being in the network than from anonymity.Social networks are important...They do offer us ambient love which lasts till ur next notification fix....but then here too time goes on while we remain rooted in self absorbed bubbles..Sometimes when you meet someone for the first time, you feel like you have known this person for ever, that is time .Time is wise. Its right now yet its been around forever. It carries the whispers of ages gone by.You can almost hear the ages if u try hard enough..It never died, it was here all this while..its just that we moved on....after all what is time in a timeless world?
