This obelisk is the oldest structure in Paris at 3200 years old. It was 'given' to one of the kings of France as a 'gift' from Egypt. For AIDS Day,a giant pink condom was put on it. This is the same square where over 1300 beheadings were done during the Reign of Terror. That included Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.
